The breakfast challenge

Having breakfast became quite challenging lately. During the cold season, even 5 minutes more in bed make the difference.

With other high priority tasks on the list – showering, for example, it’s inevitable that breakfast is reduced to a quick coffee and maybe a biscuit or a slice of bread with jam.

This morning though, I took a little more time to sit down and have something more substantial to eat. It’s nothing innovative, but I’d like to share it with you anyway.

INGREDIENTS (serves 1)

  • 1 sachet (35g) microwaveable oats
  • 180ml milk
  • handful of blueberries
  • 2 tablespoon mixed seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

As easy as it seems, mix the oats with the milk and microwave according to instructions.

Add an extra splash of milk if too thick, stir in the blueberries, sprinkle the seeds and drizzle with the maple syrup.

What about you guys? Do you have difficult mornings as well? Which are your solutions to get going in the morning?

Enjoy and have a good start of the day!
